The MAP LAYERS tab shows available data. Click on the folder icon to open/close that data layer category. Check/uncheck the boxes next to layers to display/hide layers on the map. If a layer name is greyed out, it is not available at the current scale (zoom level).
IDENTIFY is used to get more information about visible layers.
Zoom to an area of interest and click on the identify icon. Using the cursor, click within the polygon of interest. Your results will pop up on the map. To close the popup click on the "x" in the top right corner within the popup.Top
MEASURE DISTANCE
To measure distance, click on the icon. Then click on a starting point on the map and then double click on the end position. The resulting distance will be displayed under the information tab. The distance units available are miles, feet and metres.

MEASURE AREA
To measure area, click on the icon. Then click on a starting point on the map and trace a polygon. To finish double click on the end position. The resulting area will be displayed under the information tab. The units available are miles, feet and metres. Top
BIRD'S EYE VIEW
To view a bird's eye view of an area, zoom in to the area of interest. Click on this icon, then click on the zoomed in area on the map. A new window opens up showing Bing's bird's eye view of the area of interest. Top
GOOGLE STREET VIEW
To view a google's street view of an area, zoom in to the area of interest. Click on this icon, then click on the zoomed in area on the map. A new window opens up showing Google's street eye view of the area of interest. Top
GEOCODE ADDRESS
Geocoding zooms in to a user entered address.
Click on this icon, enter the address below the information tab and click on go. The map will appear zoomed in to the entered address. Top
